Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3.0 GPA in upper-division work
  • OR acceptable score on GRE, GMAT, LSAT, or MCAT

The Master of Science in entrepreneurship integrates the principles for successful opportunity recognition, technology and market assessment, product commercialization, new venture formation, and new venture financing into a single interdisciplinary curriculum with courses in respective colleges to train and educate entrepreneurial leaders.

The MS in Entrepreneurship in Applied Technologies may be taken in conjunction (dual-degree) with the MBA, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, global sustainability, and other various degree programs. A maximum of two graduate degrees may be pursued concurrently.

The 12-credit hour, non-degree interdisciplinary graduate certificate prepares and trains students in how to become effective leaders working within an interdisciplinary management team. The certificate includes course content in the:

  • Identification of new technology opportunities,
  • Development of strategies to commercialize new innovations,
  • Business planning for new ventures,
  • Formation of corporate frameworks,
  • Development of financing strategies and frameworks to provide capital.

Understanding gained through these courses will enable students to create and grow knowledge and technology-based business opportunities.

The USF Center for Entrepreneurship offers two undergraduate minors for students with interests in new entrepreneurial ventures. These programs are open to all USF undergraduate students and majors (granted the qualifications are met). Many of these courses are offered online. There are many benefits to earning an entrepreneurship minor. Whether a student would like to increase his entrepreneurial business skills, pursue her own business ideas, or learn ways to bring innovation into existing positions and businesses, an entrepreneurship minor teaches valuable skills.
